Alex Lardie
Saxophonist, Educator, Composer/Arranger

Alex Lardie is a saxophonist and director of band and choir at Lincoln Middle School in Clarkston, WA, where he also directs the Pride of Clarkston Marching Band.

​

Originally from Nampa, ID, Lardie earned degrees in Music Education and Saxophone Performance from the University of Idaho while performing annually at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival. After performing in rock, pop, and Latin bands with Carnival Cruise Lines from 2019-2020, Lardie transitioned into teaching and has experience teaching all ages from kindergarten to early college.

An active performer, composer, and arranger, Lardie has shared the stage with jazz artists Bruce Forman, Carl Saunders, Scott Whitfield, Dominick Farinacci, Marcus Printup, the New York Voices, and others. With a debut jazz album Peach Waltzreleased in 2022, he also helps manage the Gem State Jazz Camp and teaches private saxophone and improvisation lessons.
